Titled “Use of Aquatics for Balance and Strength Training Programs,” the webinar will take place Thursday, May 12 from 1 to 2 pm EDT.

Rachel McDermott, its presenter, is director of rehabilitation at Stonehill Care Center in Dubuque, Iowa, and is experienced in using hydrotherapy among the center’s senior clientele, per a release from HydroWorx.

Topics discussed during the webinar will include: the different levels of balance training that older adults often need; an understanding of how to progress physical therapy clients appropriately as they improve; and examples of aquatic exercises.

Additional topics will include: how aquatic protocols can be personalized and integrated into an individual’s therapy and wellness plan; and how to transfer exercises completed in a therapy pool to land-based exercises for continuous results.
