Constant Therapy, a developer of mobile solutions for continuous and personalized therapy to people with cognitive, language, communication and learning disorders, has been selected as a winner at the 2014 TiE50 Awards Program in the Life Sciences category. The TiE50 Awards Program screened more than 2,800 companies from 27 countries. The finalist pool was represented by early through late stage companies, according to program chair Ram K. Reddy. Companies were evaluated on three parameters: Business Model, IP Value and Leadership team.

A news release from Constant Therapy notes that to determine the winner, a panel of experts screened companies and created a list of the “2014 TiE50 Top Startups.” The list was then further reviewed by a screening committee of domain experts, and about 100 of the best of the breed companies were selected to the elite TiE50 Finalist pool. Finalists were judged by a team comprised of serial entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, angel investors, CEOs, and technology experts.

Constant Therapy, which was founded in 2013, enables individuals with cognitive, language, communication, and learning disorders to access science-based brain therapies from anywhere. The Constant Therapy iPad solution provides comprehensive tools for people with stroke, traumatic brain injury, aphasia, and other learning disabilities.

Veera Anantha, co-founder and CEO of Constant Therapy, states, “We’re thrilled to have been selected as a winner at TiE50, given the large number of great companies that participated. Constant Therapy makes it possible for millions of stroke and brain injury survivors to continue to improve, take control of their rehabilitation and change their lives.”
