The US Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) has recently released its projections for jobs that will see future growth. Physical therapist and physical therapist assistant are among the top 10 high-paying jobs in 2030, according to estimates from The Motley Fool.

In its compilation, based on the BLS projections and ranked by the estimated total US employment for each position, The Motley Fool took the BLS growth estimates and projected them through 2030 for jobs that pay at least $50,000.

Physical therapy assistant lands at #10 on the list, while physical therapist ranks at No 6.

According to The Motley Fool article, there could be nearly 136,000 physical therapy assistant positions in the United States by 2030. Currently, the number is less than 86,000. The median wage for this position in 2016 was $56,610.

Regarding physical therapists, The Motley Fool predicts that their numbers could increase to 337,000 by 2030, up from nearly 217,000 in 2016. The median wage for this profession was $85,400.

Other healthcare professions on the list include physician assistant (#8), nurse practitioner (#7), and registered nurse (#1).
