Motion capture technology company Vicon notes that its recently introduced flagship camera Vantage is achieving wide appeal among engineering, entertainment, and life sciences industries.

Among the universities now using the camera are Baylor University (engineering and computer science), Drexel University (media arts and design), Georgia Institute of Technology, North Carolina State University (textile and apparel, technology and management), Texas A&M University (mechanical engineering), and University of Minnesota (distributed robotics), according to a media release from the company.

The Vantage features sensors engineered to give users visual feedback via the on-board camera display, in the software, and on Vicon’s tablet application, Control.
