DJO Global Inc introduces MotionMD practice management software, a web-based, point-of-care solution to help practices streamline claims management and inventory dispensing.

The solution, recently unveiled at the 2016 Annual Conference of the American Association of Orthopaedic Executives (AAOE), is designed to work with patient records to help create and implement diagnosis-driven protocols.

Once a patient is diagnosed, the doctor’s customized protocol in MotionMD is used to identify the best products for this patient. A patient agreement form is automatically generated containing insurance and product information. Using a tablet, the patient signs electronically and then receives the product. Afterward, the patient receives an automated email from MotionMD that contains a receipt and helpful educational information on the best steps for recovery, explains a media release from Vista, Calif-headquartered DJO Global Inc.

Throughout the process, MotionMD flags inaccurate or missing information. The result is clean and timely billing documentation, per the release.

“Our industry insight clearly indicates that patient loads are increasing, reimbursement is declining, and medical guidelines are more demanding than ever,” says Mike Edwards, vice president healthcare solutions, DJO Global, in the release.

“With MotionMD, we are giving healthcare providers an easy-to-use tool that will streamline claims, support compliant billing and manage inventory, allowing them to deliver best-in-class patient care,” he adds.
