The University of Southern California (USC) Division of Biokinesiology and Physical Therapy is now accepting applications for DPT@USC, a hybrid online/in-person Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program.

DPT@USC is a 3-year, full-time program that allows students to take courses both online and on USC’s campus. The hybrid program mirrors the on-campus DPT program offered at USC, which according to a media release is celebrating its 73rd year and is currently ranked a No 1 graduate school of physical therapy by U.S. News & World Report.

The online platform, powered by 2U Inc, includes live, weekly classes taught by USC faculty and an interactive online campus. In addition, the program includes approximately 60 days of immersion experiences on campus in Los Angeles and 50 weeks of clinical experiences in students’ communities or at sites across the nation. Students enrolled in this program will complete 115 credit hours of courses specially designed to train physical therapists, the release explains.

“We’re proud to continue USC’s pursuit of innovative approaches to teaching and learning as we welcome applicants from across the country to earn their doctorate from our top-ranked physical therapy program,” says Dr James Gordon, associate dean and chair of the Division.

The application deadline is February 26, 2018, and the first cohort of applicants will begin classes in June 2018.
