Betina Malhotra, PhD, is the new director of the online Doctor of Education (EdD) and Doctor of Health Science (DHSc) post-professional programs at the University of St Augustine for Health Sciences.

According to a media release from the university, Malhotra earned a PhD from Rutgers University, an MA in Biopsychology from State University of New York, and a BS from California State University at San Bernardino.

She has 20 years of teaching experience, and studied adult education and online learning. At Rutgers University, she developed a methodology for teaching science and redefined the understanding of how humans develop scientific reasoning skills, per the release.

Before entering the education field, Malhotra worked as a research assistant and patient specialist at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, conducting neuro-diagnostic tests and functional MRI research, the release continues.
