The number of physical therapy clinics operated by Professional Physical Therapy has increased by six, with the recent acquisition of Connecticut-based Moore Physical Therapy & Fitness.

With this recent addition, the Uniondale, NY-based Professional Physical Therapy now has eight clinics located throughout Connecticut.

In total, the practice operates 78 outpatient physical therapy centers throughout the New York metropolitan area, New Jersey, and Connecticut: 12 within Equinox Fitness Centers, five in Blink Fitness facilities, one in a STACK Sports Performance Center, and 60 standalone, according to a media release from Professional Physical Therapy.

“Through this acquisition, we will have the opportunity to partner the largest outpatient provider in the northeast with the best provider in Fairfield County for more than 25 years,” says Charlie Byrd, partner, vice president of clinical operations in Westchester and Connecticut at Professional Physical Therapy, in the release.

This recent transaction marks the fourth acquisition of clinics by Professional Physical Therapy in 2016, and represents the 10th tuck-in acquisition over the last 12 months, according to the release.

“We are executing our strategic plan ahead of pace, and we are thrilled to be able to continue to partner with the best-in-class in our respective markets providing Professional with the ability to create a hugely successful platform in the Northeast,” states Adam Elberg, founder, president and CEO of Professional Physical Therapy, in the release.
