Eric J. Farabaugh, Sr, joins Biodex Medical Systems Inc as the company’s new vice president of sales for physical medicine, according to a company announcement.
Farabaugh previously served at national healthcare provider Concentra in various senior leadership positions, including group VP of sales. He was also VP of sales, where he earned membership in the “President’s Council” for outstanding job performance. In his first year at Concentra, he was named “Regional Sales Manager of the Year” for revenue generation and year-over-year growth.
Prior to Concentra, Farabaugh instituted programs to grow patient portfolios and market share at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) and UPMC Shadyside Hospital.
Farabaugh states he will bring his distinctive approach to leadership to his new position at Biodex. “The ability to effectively engage people and build genuine relationships are keys to success,” he says in the Biodex release. “Understanding what is most important and approaching any situation with the right amount of empathy, wisdom and discernment will provide the springboard toward co-creation of solutions.”
As a licensed physical therapist, he adds that another asset he will bring is healthcare industry knowledge.
“I have a genuine passion for health and productivity,” Farabaugh continues. “I look forward to bringing my unique combination of clinical and business knowledge, skills, and experiences to the Biodex sales organization.”
