Journal of Performance Health Research (JPHR), a bi-annual, peer-reviewed, open-access research journal sponsored by Performance Health, is now available.

JHPR’s mission is to provide international, original, high-quality scientific research on Performance Health products and its vision is to support clinical practice globally through research and education.

This inaugural journal presents eight original research projects with findings ranging from sports performance to exercise prescription to neck and knee pain treatments, according to Warrenville, Ill-based Performance Health, in a media release.

“We’re very proud to provide this freely available open-access research journal to support evidence-based practice,” states Editor-in-Chief, Phil Page, PhD, PT, ATC, CSCS, FACSM, Global Director of Clinical Research & Education Performance Health, in the release.  “We believe offering this journal will provide faster publication of quality research that supports the effective and safe use of Performance Health products.”

The journal is targeted to clinicians and researchers in physical therapy, occupational therapy, athletic training, massage therapy, chiropractic, and exercise science. It has open access so that users may read, download, copy, distribute, print, search or link to any articles.

The companion publication, Journal of Performance Health, will continue to provide evidence-based practical content with immediate clinical application, including abstracts and summaries from the JPHR, the release continues.
