Professional Physical Therapy, a Melville, NY-based provider of services in the Northeastern United States, announces the establishment of the Professional Physical Therapy Charitable Foundation to provide financial relief and support for the company’s employees amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Like millions of other Americans, Professional’s employees and families have been significantly impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, and we have been making every effort to assist our team during these difficult times,” Program Director Don McCarter says in a media release.

“As a business headquartered in Long Island with a significant presence across the New York metropolitan area, we knew we needed to act fast to support our Professional family, and we firmly believe that this new Foundation will help ease their financial burden by helping cover essential costs.”

As an established 501(c)3 organization, the Professional Physical Therapy Charitable Foundation will directly administer funds to its employees as supplemental aid for living expenses and financial obligations impacted by income loss through the COVID-10 pandemic, per the release.

Said Dan Dourney, CEO, “We will continue to take decisive measures to support the members of our Professional family throughout these unprecedented times. Our company has taken unparalleled measures to ensure our long-term viability, and supporting our team and their families is important now more than ever.

“Our management team continues ongoing efforts to identify donors and seek contributions from additional internal and external fundraising sources to allow us to further the initiatives of the Foundation,” he adds.
