Allard USA, based in Rockaway, NJ, announces that James Button has been appointed its new CEO.

Preceding CEO Carol Hiemstra-Paez will continue with the company as corporate advisor, per a company news release.

After receiving a BA from the University of Rochester and an MBA from Harvard Business School, Button served on Wall Street as an investment banker in corporate finance. He then became a private equity investor in leveraged buyouts.

During his career, he became known as a turnaround management specialist and led the revitalization of companies in a variety of industries including business telecommunications systems, oil refining, entertainment industry transportation, and methanol production, according to the release.

Since 2013, Button has served on the board of Allard USA’s Dralla Foundation, which supports programs for children and adults with physical challenges.

Button, who says in the release that his work with Dralla Foundation has been “rewarding,” explains that, during his tenure as CEO, “We will increase distribution of the company’s superior orthopedic devices and expand the company’s product line with innovative products to offer ‘support for better life’ for a greater number of individuals living with physical challenges.”
