Three faculty members from the International Spine & Pain Institute (ISPI) have been appointed to leadership positions in the Pain Management Special Interest Group (SIG), part of the American Physical Therapy Association’s (APTA) Orthopedic Section.

Mark Shepherd, DPT, OCS, FAAOMPT, has been elected as the VP/Education Chair of the Pain Management SIG, and Colleen Louw, MPT, MeD, CSMT, and Brett Neilson, DPT, OCS, FAAOMPT, have been elected to the Orthopedic Section of the SIG’s nominating committee.

The Pain Management SIG was developed to identify and develop research to promote the role of physical therapists in the care of people in pain, according to a media release from Evidence In Motion.
