Foot Management notes that it accepts and uses scans from 3D foot scanners manufactured by Sharp Shape to build its custom orthotics.
The Automated Orthotic Manufacturing System from Sharp Shape, such as the iPad with Structure Scanner, is designed to be used without a laptop or desktop computer, and to eliminate the time and mess associated with traditional orthotic plaster casting.
Simply create a scan via the foot scanner and send it directly to Foot Management, thus eliminating the need to ship plaster casts or foam boxes, per a media release from the Pittsville, Md-based company.
