Writer Guidelines
Following the guidelines below, submit articles for review to Arati Murti at
- Submit articles via e-mail as an MS-Word attachment (.doc).
- The tone of the article should be professional, straightforward, and informative. Remember our readers are physical therapists, so information can be fairly clinical, not introductory.
- Include a brief author's biography (3 to 6 sentences) that includes your contact info (preferably email), current job title, credential abbreviations, where you work, city and state.
- Color photos, illustrations, graphs, etc are welcome. Include full captions with all images. We like to print author photos, so don't hesitate to send a photo of yourself. Send color 300 dpi JPEG images. If photos are large, they can be sized down to increase resolution.
- Use only one space after a period.
- Use AMA style for the references section.
- A copyright agreement (provided by Physical Therapy Products) must be submitted with all articles.
- Number references in order throughout the text and include complete references at the end of the article. Be sure to include all the references used. All references within articles should follow American Medical Association style (contact editor Arati Murti for references guidelines).
