Cervical Traction
The Saunders Group Inc is the original developer of patented cervical and lumbar traction devices with the Cervical HomeTrac, introduced more than a decade ago. Unlike over-the-door devices, the Cervical HomeTrac Deluxe directs traction forces toward the occiput, thereby preventing compression of the TMJ. Patented self-adjusting neck wedges rotate and adjust laterally to provide the most comfortable and effective home traction treatment available. The patented pump and air cylinder ensure safety and enable easy home traction without assistance. The unit provides superior patient positioning, reliable force accuracy, and leak-free performance.

Pneumatic Cervical Traction
Glacier Cross Inc offers Pronex, a pneumatic cervical traction unit that relaxes muscle tissue, supports and maintains the natural curve and alignment of the neck, and does not interfere with the temporomandibular joint. The unit weighs less than 3 pounds, yet it provides up to 35 pounds of continuously adjustable traction. Compact and easy to use, Pronex cradles the supine patient’s head and neck on two foam cushions connected by air-inflated bellows. One cushion supports the back of the head while the other cradles the neck muscles and shoulders. Patients have total control over the amount of traction applied. Squeezing the inflator bulb increases pressure through a full range of gradations; opening a release knob gently reduces it, providing intervertabreal disk decompression and anatomically correct cervical support. Pronex enables patients to manage pain, improve disk height, and control negative muscle activity. Its ergonomic design encourages patient compliance.

Biofeedback System
Thought Technology introduces the MyoTrac Infiniti and MyoTrac Infiniti Clinical systems. The devices integrate both SEMG biofeedback and electrical stimulation. The MyoTrac Infiniti system measures high-resolution RMS surface electromyography (SEMG) signals and delivers stimulation in a large number of configurations. The system incorporates user-definable biofeedback, stimulation, or EMG triggered stimulation with easy-to-use display settings that give rapid control over treatment parameters. A touch-screen graphics display allows easy navigation, where progress can be viewed through a bar-graph scale, or line graphs, or conversely, heard through the rising or falling tonal pitch.
