Anodyne Therapy Studies Accepted for Publication

Anodyne Therapy announced that three new studies, involving more than 2,700 subjects, were accepted for publication. The studies investigated the effects of the adjunctive use of Anodyne Therapy with manual-therapy interventions on clinical outcomes such as pain, fall risk, and sensory loss. The studies include: a 2,239-patient study in Diabetes and its Complications that demonstrated a 67% reduction in pain, from 7.2 to 2.4 (on a 10-point numeric pain scale); and a 272-patient study in the Journal of Physical and Occupational Therapy in Geriatrics that demonstrated a 38% reduction in pain levels and a 49% reduction in pain levels in patients who initially had distressing pain. The studies will be published early this year.

Swede-O Appoints New Sales Manager

Swede-O Inc, North Branch, Minn, appointed Cathrine Säf Sternberg as sales manager for lower-extremity products. She will direct the sales of Swede-O brand products through the company’s current distribution network, manage a team of independent sales representatives, and provide product training to dealers and sales personnel. Sternberg has experience as a registered nurse and has held positions in medical sales, including product management with Johnson & Johnson, New Brunswick, NJ.
