HydroWorx hosts “The Impact of Aquatics on Distance Running,” a free webinar Wednesday, April 27, from 1 to 2 pm EDT.

During the webinar, Pete Julian, the assistant coach for the Oregon Projects’ running team, will discuss how he and his coaching staff have utilized water in their athletes’ regular training programs. He will also discuss the role of aquatic therapy in biomechanical improvement, including linear alignment, knee drive, posture, and foot strike, according to a media release from HydroWorx.

The presentation will also include a review of a case study, including photos and videos.

Subjects covered will include: how and why the Oregon Project supplements their athletes’ training programs with underwater exercise; why water is useful in improving the biomechanics of runners; and how Julian and his team utilize the HydroWorx therapy pool when runners require rehabilitation.
