Hyperice, headquartered in Irvine, Calif, introduces the Raptor percussive sports medicine tool, which the company notes in a news release is designed to help enhance and accelerate therapeutic recovery in sports medicine, postoperative recovery, and physical rehabilitation.

According to the release, the Raptor is lightweight and has adjustable speeds and interchangeable applicators, which can allow multiple treatment settings. The device works via rapid mechanical percussions, which penetrate several layers of muscle, up to 3,600 percussions per minute, the release explains.

The tool can be used in training rooms, physical therapy practices, and elite performance centers, the release notes.
