Effective October 15, 2014, provider of sports medicine products, RockTape Inc, has been named a Strategic Business Partner of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), according to an APTA news release.

Paul A. Rockar Jr, PT, DPT, MS, APTA president, articulates the organization’s excitement in welcoming RockTape to the “Strategic Business Partners family.”

“It is important to APTA to enhance our business relationships and develop meaningful partnerships with for-profit companies. We are pleased that our services and marketing opportunities provide mutual benefits to our partners and APTA,” Rockar says.

The release reports that more than 8,000 medical professionals worldwide use RockTape’s flagship product RockTape kinesiology tape to treat and prevent common sports injuries. RockTape adds that the product’s properties are designed to relieve pain, reduce swelling, improve fluid dynamics to working muscles, reduce fatigue, and enhance movement awareness. The company also provides a Fascial Movement Taping Certification, a kinesiology taping certification based on functional movement assessment and treatment strategies.

Alyson Evans, director of US sales, explains in the release that the company knew in order “to best leverage all of our great relationships in the physical therapy profession, we needed to partner with and support the profession through the APTA Strategic Business Partners Program.”

The release adds that in 2015, RockTape will exhibit at APTA’s Combined Sections Meeting, NEXT, and National Student Concave as part of its aggressive growth strategy.
