The Triangle Business Journal reports that Pivot Physical Therapy has acquired ActivCare Physical Therapy, a 10-clinic private practice. With the expansion into North Carolina, Pivot Physical Therapy presently operates more than 70 locations in six states. Financial terms were reportedly not disclosed. Pivot Physical Therapy employs more than 500 physical therapists, certified athletic trainers, and support staff who specialize in in treating injuries, general orthopedics and post-operative care, as well as other specialties.

The Triangle Business Journal news report notes that in addition to its clinical practice, Pivot Physical Therapy works closely with more than 45 scholastic and collegiate athletic departments to  provide athletic trainers and sports medicine services for women and men’s junior varsity and varsity sports.
