Members of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), Alexandria, Va, can now register for APTA’s Innovation Summit: Collaborative Care Models, a live-streamed presentation scheduled for March 8, 2013. The event will reportedly showcase APTA members, physicians, large health systems, and policy makers as they explore the role of physical therapy in current and emerging integrated models of care.
At the summit, health care leaders who are participating in and at the decision-making helm of these integrated models of care have an opportunity to discuss accountable care organizations (ACOs), medical homes, and bundled payment, as well as the role of physical therapy. The goal of this event, according to APTA, is to develop strategies by bolstering the involvement of physical therapists in these models.
